Something my female parent use to grill all the time growing up was chicken, and so she’d spread it with Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce. after I think about summer, or broil, that's what involves mind. The key to broil chicken legs is beginning them on the grill with very high heat, like four hundred degrees. Sear it on high heat for 2-3 minutes and so lowering the warmth to 275-300 degrees to end off the preparation method till the chicken’s internal temperature is a hundred seventy five degrees. Viola. good chicken legs!

So in honor of my female parent I’m creating Grilled Chicken, however my way! I rubbed the chicken down with one in every of my favorite spice blends that offers the chicken depth of flavor and so prime it with a zesty Chimichurri sauce.

Ingredients

Spice Rub Grilled Chicken:


  • 2 lbs. chicken legs
  • 2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon of smoke-dried paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of ocean salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper

Chimichurri Sauce:


  • 1 garlic
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¾ cup recent cilantro
  • ¼ cup recent oregano
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 2 tablespoons vino vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • salt & pepper


Instructions


  1. Preheat grill to medium high heat (about four hundred degrees).
  2. In a little bowl add garlic powder, cumin, coriander, smoke-dried paprika, sea salt, and black pepper. Stir along.
  3. Sprinkle the spice mix over the chicken legs and rub spice mix everywhere the chicken.
  4. Place the chicken on the grill and grill either side for 2-3 minutes on medium high heat.
  5. Turn heat all the way down to medium low heat and cook chicken a further twenty minutes or till juices run clear and internal temperature of the chicken is a hundred seventy five degrees.
  6. In the meanwhile add garlic, recent cilantro, recent oregano, lime juice, vino vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper to a kitchen appliance. mix till swish.
  7. Serve chicken and prime with chimichurri sauce!
